Peacemaking Introduction

Do you feel like your life is more challenging that you ever imagined?  Do you feel like conflicts or disagreements occur more frequently than you like?  Do you wish you knew more about how to live in peace even when you are not in control of all the circumstances and choices that impact your life?

ICC’s Peacemaking Introduction is designed to offer you some amazing revelations that will help you understand how conflict and chaos are actually part of God’s plan to help us grow and learn.  Most of us want to fight or run the other way - but neither is particularly healthy.  During this peacemaking introduction, we will reveal the secret the world seems to misunderstand — conflict is actually an opportunity to glorify God; strengthen relationships and grow in self-awareness.

Peacemaking Introduction has two parts. Both parts can  be completed in time so that you can also enroll in Peacemaking 1, should that be your desire. Content is designed for individuals ages 14 and older. Please review our philosophy on mature content before you enroll.

Part 1: Identifies what a culture of peace is.

Part 2: Explores our own role in establishing a culture of peace and defines "I am the 85."

All are invited to register, although it is recommended for chapter student leaders and students 14 and up.

Those who participated in PREP at the 2015 or 2016 Summer Institute will have completed this work in person and do not need to register for the online version. They may enroll directly into Peacemaking 1.

Course Name How much work is represented
Peacemaking Intro Part 1  3 hours independent online work over a 10-day window

Peacemaking Intro Part 2  4 hours independent online work over a 10- day window

There are special opportunities for Chapter groups in one geographic area that would like to take the Peacemaking Introduction together with a guide to lead group discussions. Contact us at alee@iccinc.org if you think you might have a group facilitator and 4 interested students who are interested in meeting together.
